Accutane instructions, description and reviews



Accutane is a form of vitamin A order accutane online. It reduces the amount of oil secreted by the omentum in your skin, and helps your skin to be updated more quickly.

Accutane is used to treat severe nodular acne. This is usually given after other acne medications or antibiotics have been tested without the successful treatment of symptoms.

Do not take vitamin supplements containing vitamin A, while you are taking isotretinoin. Do not give blood by taking Accutane and, at least 30 days after stopping taking.

What should I discuss with my healthcare provider before taking Accutane?

Accutane is available only with the special program iPLEDGE. You must be registered in the program and sign documents stating that you understand the dangers of this medication and that you agree to use birth control in accordance with the requirements of the program. Ask your doctor or contact the drug manufacturer if you have questions about the program or written requirements.

It is dangerous to try to purchase Accutane on the Internet or from suppliers outside the United States. The sale and distribution of Accutane outside the iPLEDGE program violates the rules of the US Food and Drug Administration for the safe use of this medication.

Do not use this medication if you are allergic to isotretinoin or parabens, or if you are pregnant or can become pregnant.

To make sure that you can safely take Accutane, tell your doctor if you have any of these conditions:

  • Personal or family history of depression or mental illness;

  • Heart disease, high cholesterol or triglycerides;

  • Osteoporosis or other bone disorders;

  • Intestinal disorder, such as inflammatory bowel disease, ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease;

  • diabetes;

  • asthma;

  • Anxiety disorder (anorexia nervosa); or

  • liver disease.


Accutane can cause severe, life-threatening birth defects if the mother takes the medicine during pregnancy. Even a single dose of Accutane can cause serious birth defects in the ears, eyes, face, skull, heart and brain of the child. Never use Accutane if you are pregnant.

For women: if you have not had a removal of the uterus and ovaries (general hysterectomy with oophorectomy) or have been during the menopause for at least 12 consecutive months, you are considered a fertile potential.

Even women who had tubes tied up should use birth control while taking Accutane.

You must have a negative pregnancy test 30 days before you start taking Accutane. A pregnancy test is also required before each recipe is replenished, just after you take the last dose of Accutane and again after 30 days. All pregnancy tests are required by the iPLEDGE program.

You must agree to use two specific forms of birth control in writing, starting 30 days before you start taking Accutane and finish 30 days after you stop taking it. Both the primary and secondary forms of birth control should be used together.

The main forms of birth control are:

  • Tying of pipes (connected by a tube);

  • Vasectomy of the male sexual partner;

  • IUD (intrauterine device);

  • Estrogen-containing birth control pills (not mini tablets); and

  • Hormonal control patches, implants, injections or vaginal ring.


Secondary forms of birth control include:

  • Male latex condom plus spermicidal foam or gel;

  • Diaphragm plus spermicidal foam or gel;

  • Cervix plus spermicidal foam or gel; and

  • Vaginal sponge containing spermicide.


Stop using Accutane and immediately consult your doctor if you have unprotected sex if you stop using birth control if your period is delayed or if you think you can be pregnant. If you become pregnant while taking Accutane, call the iPLEDGE pregnancy register at 1-866-495-0654.
